My final wedding of 2023 belonged to John and Micheala, who said 'I DO', at The Chimney House in Sheffield Kelham Island. Taking place in early December, it was a beautiful winter-themed day. Micheala wore a beautiful bespoke dress from Etsy which was adorned with sparkles and stars that glistened in the winter sun, and lit up like a Dimond on the dance floor. Both the bride and groom wore amazing trainers, with John's being custom made including their initials and wedding date.  The whole day had a relaxed and cool vibe, set in an equally relaxed trendy area of Sheffield. The Chimney House is an award winning wedding venue in Sheffield, and I can see why. The rustic colors and the way the light reflects off the wood creates a stunning backdrop. The room is covered with pretty candles and beautiful glass jars filled with wild flowers, and there's even a cheeky cactus that adds a bit of charm (if you know, you know). Micheala and John's lovely daughter played a central role in their wedding - joining them at the front whilst they took their vows, making the day even more personal. After the ceremony and some time for drinks, the wedding party had a little walk over to another of my all time favourite Sheffield venues, The Mowbray. Everyone was greeted by an absolutely spectacular Christmas tree which was filled with beautiful paper ornaments. The meal at the Mowbray was one of the best I've ever had, not just at a wedding, but possibly ever!. It was absolutely stunning, and who knew cabbage could be made to taste so good!. The staff at both The Chimney House and The Mowbray were incredible. They were friendly, accommodating, and made sure the day ran seemlessly. The evening concluded with friends and family dancing the night away under a sea of rustic lightbulbs that filled the ceiling with a warm glow. Micheala's Grandma was inundated with dance requests by all of John and Micheala's friends - and she did not disappoint the crowd.  Surrounded by their amazing friends and family, the couple knew exactly how to throw a memorable party. The vibe was so good I even had a little boogie before I left. If you're looking for a stunning, quirky, alternative and fun wedding venue with amazing staff and the best food in town, I highly recommend considering The Chimney House and The Mowbray, situated in Kelham Island, Sheffield. I can't find a single fault with either of them - UTTERLY STUNNING!!
