About me…
It sounds a bit cheesy, but I really love what I do. I feel utterly privileged to play such an important role in capturing your special moments. My style is very natural and relaxed. I love to capture events as they unfold.
Where it all began…
I have been in love with photography since I can remember. When I left school I studied fine art and photography at college, but back then we used black and white film and dark rooms (Yes, I am ridiculously old). In more recent years I went back into education as a ‘mature’ student and completed a degree in digital photography.
Lets get personal…
I am a single parent to two beautiful son’s. One of them is of the human variety and the other is a little sausage dog called Frank.
I work three days a week in the Sheffield fostering service, which I absolutely love. I take a maximum of 12 weddings per year. This ensures that I give each couple my all, and I am not burnt out or overworked. It also helps me to maintain the joy of weddings.
Photographing wedding’s and families is a dream job for me. I know how cheesy that sounds, but it is utterly true. I am a natural people watcher, I could sit and watch people all day long and never get bored. I invest so much into your day, I will laugh with you, I will cry with you, and it’s not unheard of for me to be there hoisting you into your spanks or dancing with you on the disco floor.
I generally try to blend into your day, capturing people in their natural moments, and documenting the day honestly, as it happens, because a wedding day is real, and anything goes at weddings (believe me).
Random Facts…
I am a true northerner, so obviously I love gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
I hate cheese, (yes I know that’s so odd, but truth be told I am a bit odd).
I love a wide verity of music from Indie to cheesy pop and all things in-between.
I enjoy travelling, I'm a keen walker, luckily for me I live a stones throw away from the Peak District, which also makes a beautiful backdrop for photoshoots.
I can’t function without coffee - that’s not even a joke.
I like documentaries and true crime dramas.
I have a totally random sense of humour.
My favourite biscuit is a chocolate hobnob - obviously!! (excellent dunkers).
I love meeting new people and trying new things, and I love living in the moment and capturing real emotions.
So, if you think we might be a good match, please get in touch, I would love to hear all about your plans.
Adele x
